I will treasure my memories growing up with you, my amazing big sister. As an adult, you taught me to find the joy in everyday and mundane things and to laugh at my mistakes. You taught me to stand up for myself, be true to myself and to believe in myself.
You gave your life for your family, were a true warrior and a champion. I can still hear your knee-slapping, hysterical, teary and almost hyperventilating laughter – from comparing Ben and Sophie’s growth, watching tv shows, playing board games together and simply retelling stories and events about our crazy and complicated families.
May God comfort us all who are hurting today, and one day, bring us to peace with Janette.

Today’s service for Janette was truly beautiful and a privilege to be part of. My heart breaks at the loss of my dear sister and for your family, Martin.
