Funeral Costs / Options

There are many options to consider when planning a funeral. While every detail of your choice is attended to, your input ensures the funeral reflects your wishes.
The cost is dependant on your choices.

Funeral costs vary depending on the type of service required. The least expensive option provided by most Funeral Directors is a ...

Direct Cremation this process has the Director preparing the remains for cremation and having the ashes available for the next of kin to collect at the crematorium.
There is No Minister/Celebrant, No Notice, No Service, No Flowers and most importantly, No Family involvement in the process.

The next option is a ...
Cremation with full or partial service.
This can include Chapel hire, Minister / Celebrant, Organist, Floral tribute, Press notice, Government Medical Officer, certified copy of Death Certificate, Coffin, Funeral Directors Service Fee and anything else to meet your needs.
(Eg. Balloons, Refreshments etc.)

Burial
is generally the most expensive option. The costs of a burial plot can be a major factor.
If there is an existing Burial plot (family member already buried) then with the Burial Rites Holder’s permission that plot may be used (Most cemeteries will allow one plot to be used for 2 burials).

To ensure that your funeral wishes are met we have included a helpful information sheet that you can fill out with your instructions for funeral arrangements.
